We are currently accepting sponsors for our Breast Health Challenge Campaign, which runs from Oct 1-31, 2017.

The MammAlive Foundation is a non-profit international organization run by volunteers who are passionate about breast health education. Our mission is to educate and empower women globally to make healthy dietary and lifestyle changes, enhance understanding of their bodies, and increase awareness of the impact of the environment on their health, to reduce the risk of breast cancer now and in future generations.

The Breast Health Challenge Campaign is both an educational initiative and our Annual Fundraiser. During the campaign we will be releasing one breast health tip a day on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) in multiple languages and will ask women to share it, practice it and make videos to spread awareness about breast health.

We are looking for sponsors for each of the 31 tips as well as prizes for women who create the best videos.

You may choose to support us in 1 or 2 ways:

1. Sponsor one of our 31 tips for $250 CDN, or sponsor 5 for $1000. We will send out the tip in October with “sponsored by … ” and add your logo. Your tip and company brand will reach thousands of women through social media, and you will gain recognition as a supporter of breast health. You will be added as a sponsor to our website until Aug 1, 2018 and will be featured at least once in our monthly Healthy Breast Ezine, with a link to your company. The ezine currently has over 3000 subscriptions. You may choose the tip(s) you wish to sponsor. Please review the 31 tips below and select those that best suit your company.

3. Donate funds to the MammAlive Foundation to support our work. Currently we are seeking funds to translate breast health educational materials into Spanish, Portuguese, Urdu, Finnish, Dutch, Polish, Mandarin and Hebrew so that our programs can be taught in many countries. We require funding for Healthy Breast Educators to teach in regions where under-serviced women would otherwise be unable to attend a program.

31 Tips for Breast Health

Oct. Breast Health Tip
1 Exercise 40 minutes a day, beyond your normal activities.
2 Sleep in a dark room, with no light from the street coming into your bedroom, or wear an eye mask.
3 Spend 15 minutes outside between 10 am-2 pm, exposing your arms and legs to sunlight, or take 1000-5000 IU of vitamin D3 daily.
4 Eat a vegetarian diet, as organic as possible. Minimal or no meat, fish, eggs, dairy.
5 Eat 2 tbsp. of soaked or freshly ground flaxseeds a day.
6 Add 2 tsp. of turmeric to your food or take 1000 mg of curcumin in capsule form daily.
7 Limit alcoholic beverages to fewer than 3 per week.
8 Store leftover food in glass, ceramic or stainless steel rather than plastic, and drink water from glass or stainless steel containers.
9 Use 45 grams of fiber each day to regulate estrogen and insulin levels. Include 2 Tbsp flaxseed, 2 Tbsp chia seed, 1 Tbsp psyllium and 1-2 cups legumes.
10 Do not use cosmetics, nail polish, toothpaste, shampoo etc. containing parabens or phthalates. Avoid using artificial air fresheners.
11 Replace chlorine-based cleaning products with baking soda and vinegar to clean either your sink, toilet, fridge, stove, floors and/or counters.
12 Work up a sweat each day, either through exercise, sauna or steam bath to eliminate chemicals and toxic metals stored in your fat cells.
13 Eat 8 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. One serving = 1 cup of salad or 1/2 cup steamed vegetables or 1 whole fruit.
14 Pray, meditate or practice slow deep breathing exercises for at least 11 minutes before bed to increase melatonin levels.
15 Remove outdoor shoes each time you enter your home to reduce indoor pollutants.
16 Take a relaxation break every 2 ½  hours throughout the day for 3-20 minutes to help alleviate stress.
17 Practice breast self-massage or ask your partner to do it for you.
18 Connect with someone you care about today. Tell them how much they mean to you.
19 Eat 2 cloves of garlic every day.
20 Reduce sugar, found in sweets, candies, pastries and desserts. Try stevia as an alternative and do eat fresh fruit.
21 Devote 10 minutes today to doing something you love.
22 Take 2 Tbsp of flaxseed oil or 3000 milligrams of a good quality fish oil daily to inhibit inflammation and cancer.
23 Say “No” to something that bothers you in your life today, and that you can change.
24 Practice dry brush massage, followed by a 3 minute cold shower.
25 Acknowledge an inner conflict or fear. Share it with a partner or friend, and encourage them to do the same.
26 Use at least 5 different spices today for their anti-cancer and anti-oxidant benefits.
27 Use pots and pans that are steel clad, enameled, ceramic or cast iron. Avoid aluminum cookware and non-stick coatings. Do not consume canned food.
28 Laugh deeply each day.
29 Vacuum or damp mop at least one room in your house today to remove dust.
30 Use cloth or recycled bags. Do not acquire any new plastic bags today.
31 Hug another being today.
